Born and raised in Texas, Jacob graduated Texas State University – San Marcos with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, minoring in Sociology. After graduating from college, Jacob began an AmeriCorps national service stint with the Student Conservation Association in the volcanic high desert of northern California to the Adirondacks of Upstate New York, eventually landing in Bozeman with the Montana Conservation Corps. After 8 years of working in trails and conservation, Jacob made a career change.
With an interest in drawing and the building process he settled on a career in the architecture and building profession and pursued this education, graduating with an Associates of Applied Science in Design Drafting Technology from Gallatin College in Bozeman.
Jacob is inspired by creative problem solving and team collaboration, his calm demeanor and thirst for knowledge allow him to be an integral and thoughtful team player in a profession he loves.
In his free time Jacob loves spending time with his wife Courtney and two dogs Robby and Townes, snowboarding or cross-country skiing into a Forest Service cabin in the winter. Summertime is all about mountain biking, day hiking and backpacking in the Greater Yellowstone.
