Laura Dornberger
Partner / AIA / LEED AP
Growing up in Buffalo, Wyoming, at the early age of 13 Laura knew she wanted to be an architect. She followed her dreams and graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in 2003 and a Master of Architecture in 2004 and joined Locati Architects in the spring of 2010. Laura’s career in architecture and design has led her to develop a passion for commercial, hospitality, and multifamily housing (ranging from high-end residences to affordable housing).
“Architecture must have refinement, simplicity, and beauty. It is the architect’s responsibility to make the things of daily life beautiful while raising architectural expectations and quality of life.”
She is proficient in working with city and design review authorities and building codes; easily translating these for design projects. She also served on the City of Bozeman Planning Board and Zoning Commission in 2014-2015, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and enjoys giving back to the community by currently serving as a Museum of the Rockies Trustee and a MSU Bobcat Mentor.
Outside of work, Laura appreciates the small things. She enjoys playing outdoors with her children and traveling with her husband, family and friends to warm and exotic locations, enjoying the built environment of different cultures.
